About the Artist

I enjoy creating art in all mediums.

Most recently, I have been working with wood carvings and painting with acrylics.

I do oil painting on wood, pastels, oils on canvas, wood burning, and pencil drawings and was recently asked to create a design for a pin for organ donation by the Donor Family Council President.

As a corneal transplant recipient, organ donation is very important to me. I have a condition called Fuchs Dystrophy, which causes blindness. I received a cornea in my right eye in December 2009. It has allowed me to continue to do art, my greatest passion. I will need a transplant in my left eye in the future.

I live with my husband of 28 years, Jeff, in a house we painted to look like a giant flag after 9/11. I painted the Statue of Liberty and an eagle on the house as well.

I completed a mural in Luna Pier last fall. I am currently working with the Bicentennial Steering Committee on the art contest for the War of 1812 National Battlefield Park. I will also be working to complete the mural at the Park this summer.
